The newly designed Quilting Quarterly, the publication of the National Quilting Association, has been mailed. The new editorial staff would love your feedback. We welcome your ideas about what you want to see in future issues and this is the place to share them. It's also the place for NQA members to be in touch with the QQ staff and each other in an interactive e-bee. We want lots of quilting "buzz" from you!

Dear Jean Ann,
Congratulations on your new position as editor of the NQA Quilting Quarterly. I can't wait to recieve my own issue of the magazine. The cover is to DIE FOR! I sew and quilt every day and am always on the lookout for new inspiration. I am confident that there will be plenty of that - and news of how the NQA is making a difference in the quilting world.

Debby I am planning on lots of exciting themes for future issues.
email your info to the editor, please!
Spring 2008 - Recording family history in your quilts
I already have some exciting pieces for this, but if you have made a quilt to record your family history I would love to see a digital photo of it.
Summer 2008 - hand dyes, share your quilts made from hand dyes and experiences with actually hand dyeing fabric
Fall 2008 - NQA show winners PLUS - using specialty threads as embellishment. I am taking a class in this at the NQA show using these threads so I know I will be very interested in this topic while I am putting the fall issue together. Again, share quilts, small decorative items and experiences.
email me! this is your magazine and I want you to be in it.

Hi Jean Ann: I'm so excited; waiting for the winter QQ after seeing the teasers on the webpage is like waiting for Santa! Best of everything as editor!

Dear Jean Ann,
Welcome to Blogland! I have you bookmarked and hope to see more "behind the scenes" information here.
I'm anxiously awaiting my copy of the Winter issue - I think you made an excellent choice featuring Gloria Hansen's quilt on the cover. She does beautiful work. I'm also looking forward to reading the article about the Boys & Girls Club of Maui's quilting program - I'm so pleased to be a part of it!
Dianna, I am glad you like our cover choice. The editorial art director (Janet Houts) and I thought choosing Gloria's quilt was the perfect choice as Gloria won a major award with it atthe IQA show in Houston.
I absolutely loved all the pictures you sent with the piece about the Boys and Girls club. The girls looked so happy with their quilts. My favorite was the comment by the young quilter who said she thought she was going to make a little square but ended up with a big quilt she gets to keep forever.
Dianna, I don't have a correct email address for you.. I would like the clubs and the girls that participated to have a copy of the magazine. Can you contact the NQA office with your email address? thanks!
Ok, if you're going to have a blog, it needs to be written on occassionally. I love the new magazine but have received three issues and you're still only commenting on the first issue.
Our group BFG's loves the block of the month and is hard at work on it. If you want more info about BFG's link to http:/heavymetalquilting.blogspot.com/
I'm with Barb, eager to see updates here! - Jackie
